Porcelain Laminate Veneers

Porcelain laminate veneers are thin, custom-made shells of ceramic material designed to cover the front surface of teeth to improve their appearance. They are a popular cosmetic dental treatment used to enhance the aesthetics of a smile.

What They Can Correct:

  • Discolored or stained teeth (that don't respond well to whitening)
  • Worn down or chipped teeth
  • Misaligned, uneven, or irregularly shaped teeth
  • Gaps between teeth (diastemas)

Advantages:

  • Natural-looking results
  • Stain-resistant
  • Durable (typically lasting 10–15 years or longer with proper care)
  • Conserves more natural tooth structure compared to crowns

Considerations:

  • Irreversible procedure (due to enamel removal)
  • May require replacement over time
  • Not suitable for patients with severe bite issues or active gum disease

Veneers offer a simple, effective way to transform your smile with lasting confidence.

Sample clinical cases:

• Five Porcelain Laminate Veneers

This person had severe enamel erosion on the front surfaces of their teeth and the edge of their teeth were also worn down, making them appear shorter, thinner, and worn down. The upper right canine (on your left) was rotated and out of alignment, while the upper left canine was in good shape and properly positioned, so it didn’t need treatment.

• Ten Porcelain Laminate Veneers

These veneers are over 20 years old. Over time, they’ve developed some damage and have been repaired.  The gums have receded, especially around the front six teeth. Those areas on the front two teeth were filled in to cover the exposed roots, but around the side front teeth and canines, and you can still see that recession. You can also see a small chip in the porcelain on the second premolar on the upper left side. (your right).
